St. Peter Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a part-time organist to join its music ministry team. The successful candidate will have gifts in leading the liturgy and congregational hymn-singing on the 2 manual digital Allen Protege Organ and the Yamaha C-2 Baby grand piano. FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH in Lancaster is seeking a Director of Music Ministry to provide leadership and coordination to the music ministry of the church. Reports to Associate Pastor. Supervises guest musicians. Essential Job Functions: *Lead the music ministry of the church, in support of and in coordination with the Praise Band Leader, Organist and Digital Production Specialist *Conduct and/or coordinate music for the Christian Year *Recruit and lead Choral ensembles *Select music for each service based on scriptures and themes supplied by Pastors; prepare ensembles as appropriate; prepare scores, order music, and maintain music library *Arrange for guest instrumentalists and soloists for in-person and digital service. *Provide information regarding the music program for church publications *Prepare and manage annual music budget *Manage maintenance of the sanctuary organ (with the organist) and pianos. Incumbent required to physically navigate steps (throughout the church and in the sanctuary), lift and move boxes of music and supplies (up to 25 pounds). Excellent hearing is required. Direct and assist with preparation of sanctuary for music events (risers, music stands, chairs, podium, microphones). Work Schedule: Incumbent is expected to work approximately 20 hours per week including evenings (for rehearsals). Sunday and holiday hours are required to lead weekly and special worship services. St. John’s (Hains) UCC, Wernersville, PA. We are looking to hire four choir section leaders (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass) on a part time basis. Our aim is for this group to become the core of our newly developing choir after being absent for over a year. Duties will include a Wednesday night rehearsal and one Sunday morning worship service, both usually run about an hour. Music will mostly be hymns and hymn arrangements. The schedule now will be one Sunday a month for June, July, and August. Then it will most likely be every Sunday starting in September. The church is paying $50 per person per session. Bethany UMC, Red Lion, PA – Organist - Bethany is currently looking for a spiritually mature Christian to play the organ for Sunday morning worship. This includes both 8:00am and 10:30am Traditional Services – the 8:00am Service has been paused for now because of COVID-19.
